Human Resource Director

Local and extremely stable organization in the New Orleans CBD is seeking an extremely professional Human Resource Director to be a strong resource for its employees!

 

Schedule will be Monday-Friday from 9:00AM-5:00PM. The starting salary will range between $55,000-$65,000 depending on experience.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • working with and being a resource for the staff.

  • helping update policies and procedures,

  • revising job descriptions, recruiting, interviewing, and recommending applicants for positions with the organization

  • payroll and employee paperwork (orientation, promotion, termination, etc.)

  • coordinating training for new employees and continuing training for current employees/managers.

  • conducting salary surveys, performance reviews, employee investigations.

  • working closely with Civil Service and representing the organization for Unemployment, Civil Service and EEOC hearings.

  • maintaining employment records, employee counseling, mediation, meetings, disciplinary actions, etc.

  • all day-to-day human resource operations.

  • handling projects, budgets, and administrative duties.

 

Requirements and qualifications:

  • MUST have a Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or related area from an accredited university.

  • MUST have 5+ years of HR DIRECTOR experience!!!

  • MUST be proficient in MS Office programs: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Powerpoint.

  • MUST have professional email and phone etiquette.

  • MUST understand that he/she will always represent the organization in a professional manner.

  • will be efficient and organized with his/her work and expectations

  • MUST be a strong listener, an effective communicator, and responsive to urgent matters.

  • MUST have strong decision-making skills and take initiative.

  • will be extremely confidential in this role and very sensitive to personal information and meeting information.

  • will stay within compliance and follow policies and procedures according to the current rules on the organization.
