We are currently looking for a Benefits Administrator in Covington, LA. Must be a St Tammany Parish resident!


  • Provides daily administrative support to the Human Resources Department and the Finance Department

  • Coordinates the day-to-day operational administration of the various benefit programs

  • Plan and administer open enrollment, renewals and changes for all health plan benefits accordingly. Ensure compliance with FSLA, EEOC, DOL, ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, USERA, FMLA, COBRA and IRC regulations

  • Manage all annual benefit enrollments.

  • Install approved new plans and changes to existing plans by preparing announcement materials, plan summary documents and other media for communicating plans to employees.

  • Respond to all employee and vendor inquiries and complaints regarding health plans, retirement plans, life insurance plans, COBRA, etc. to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution.

  • Maintain enrollment and claims records for all benefit plans.

  • Prepare on-boarding documents for new employees. Ensure that all paperwork and acknowledgements are signed and accounted for. Conduct benefit orientation during on-boarding process.

  • Verifies I-9 documentation and assists in compliance audits as necessary

  • Organize and maintain employee and benefits records and files

  • Filing



  • Must have 3 plus years of Human Resource and Benefits Administration experience

  • 2 or 4 year college degree

  • Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.

  • Very strong interpersonal skills
