Administrative Assistant in New Orleans!

Small insurance office in the Greater New Orleans Area is seeking a very professional and self-motivated Administrative Assistant to support the agent/owner!!

 

Schedule will be Monday-Thursday, 8:30AM-4:30PM, and Friday, 8:30AM-3:00PM. Starting pay will range between $39,000-$42,000 annually.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • answering phones and greeting visitors.

  • handling email correspondence and typing up letters/memos.

  • preparing for presentations, compiling packets together.

  • ordering office supplies and keeping the break room stocked.

  • offering support to clients and owner/agent.

  • handling some insurance paperwork and processing.

  • handling applications, policy changes, policy updates, premiums and explanations.

  • general office duties such as filing (MUST BE ACCURATE), scanning, faxing, etc.

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Life insurance experience is a HUGE PLUS!!

  • MUST have strong office support (5+ years)!!

  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.

  • Ability to handle large amounts of paperwork, forms, applications, etc.

  • MUST follow rules and regulations of the industry - strict with compliance.

  • Accurate filing and data entry skills.

  • Ability to interpret verbiage into letters.

 

Ideal candidate:

  • MUST understand the importance of confidentiality!

  • will be a self-starter, proactive, and good with time management.

  • MUST have organizational and strong communication skills.

  • will be detailed and possess the ability to work independently.

  • must be good with clients and possess the ability to learn and grow within job scope.

  • MUST have strong office support experience (5+ years)!!
